Complete Guide: How to install Mac OS X 10.8.x mountain lion in VWware on PC

There are aldready created VM’s  that you can just download and import into VMware, but I want to have my own clean VM that I built from apple's original disk image and don’t need to bother about where it came from.

Detailed instructions:

Files you will need:

1.Mac OS X 10.8 Installation (.dmg file)
2.VMware Workstation 10
3.dmg2img
4.VMware Unlocker 1.2
5.Latest VMware tools from Fusion 6
(com.vmware.fusion.tools.darwin.zip)

Step 1: Install VMware Workstation on your machine.

Step 2: Run VMware Unlocker 1.2.
> Extract out VMware Unlocker.
> Run the install.bat in the \windows folder.
This will configure VMware Workstation to support
Mac OS X.
> You should now see Apple Mac OS X
listed in the New Virtual Machine Wizard.
> Create a new Virtual Machine for Mac OS X 10.8,
Mac OS X will need a minimum of 2GB of RAM.

Step 3: Use 7Zip or a similar program to extract
your "InstallESD.dmg" file from Mac OS X 10.8 installation DVD.

Step 4: Using the dmg2img program, create iso
Example command line:

Note: I had converted OS X 10.8.4.dmg into iso,
but if you can directly take the InstallESD.dmg file from
it, no need to convert.

dmg2im -i "path\InstallESD.dmg" -o "path\macosxsetup.iso"

Step 5: Extract out the com.vmware.fusion.tools.darwin.zip
to get the darwin.iso from under \payload.

Step 6: Mount the newly created MacOSXSetup.iso with
VMware and Start the VM, launch the Mac OS X Setup from
the ISO we created.
>SELECT:> Disk Utility
> Erase (format= Mac OS extended journaled)
> Erase
> Disk Utility, Reinstall OS X.
> Continue, Agree
> Select the disk and install.

Step 8: Install VMware tools.
> Mount the darwin.iso to the VM, a restart might be
required to get it to properly show up in the VM.
> In order to see the icons on the desktop, go into
Finder Preferences, and check the Hard Disks, External
Disks, CD/DVD, and Connected Servers boxes.
> 4) Double-click the VMware Tools DVD.
 Double-Click Install VMware Tools, continue.
